In-Between Sizes
If you are measuring at the high end of a size (eg. Medium 56cm/21⅞” in our Bushie)
- For a snug fit, we suggest staying with that size.
- The next size up will be a little loose.
- You could add a Drawstring & Toggle for extra security.
- Your could also add our Chiller Filler’s (foam strips). They stick under the interior elastic sweatband out of sight. 2x strips would reduce 1 hat size.
Fit Tips
- Aussie Chiller reminds our customers that a hat fit is entirely a matter of personal preference. Our headwear can sit, fit, and be worn however you want to wear it.
- We recommend tighter fits for those active moments in life. Think jogging, boating, or hiking.
- Long days (4+hours) may require a looser fit. Think a full day at your favourite music festival, landscaping the backyard, or fun in the sun at the beach.
- The shape and style of a hat can vary the sizing and fit. We always recommend reading the size and fit guide for any hat you're considering. This will help to ensure you’re able to select the perfect size for you.
Measuring Your Head Size
To determine your hat size follow these 3 simple steps:
- Measure the circumference around your head - approximately 12mm (1/2”) above the ears
- Keep the dressmaker tape level and firm, across the temple and above the eyebrow ridges.
- Check the size chart given above.
NOTE: For in-between measurements use the next size up.
