This authentic design is an ode to Australian Bushmen. Often imitated but never duplicated, the Bushie has been handcrafted in Austrailia since 1989 as the "Original Soaker Hat". Used across a multitude of sports, agriculture, and leisure activities alike. This hat’s functionality and versatility is why people say that it’s the "best hat ever!".
Our premium custom Faux Suede allows the hat to be used in fresh water, salt water, and even chlorine! It won't lose shape or discolour. The chlorine actually helps to clean sweat bacteria out of the internal sweat band. Our fabric has the look and feel of Suede, but don't let it fool you, all our headwear use no animal products (Vegan friendly).
Featuring plaited banding, ventilation eyelets, nickel rust proof hardware, and soft elastic interior banding for a secure fit. Light-weight and durable with a 50+UPF Sun Protection rating.

All our crowns are hand turned during their production. You can customize the height and depth quite easily.

Perforated vs. Solid
The Solid crown is your traditional crown. The Perforated crown allows greater air flow, and allows it to be packed flat easier, with minimal creases.
You can pack either Bushie flat, but please don’t fold it as you could compromise the brim. Minor creases may appear, but they can be steamed out or once submerged.
Another option is to turn it upside down and pack clothing in the crown to save space.

I came across my hat at a pre-owned clothing store it was a few dollars that was a deal, I love your hats I have been wearing it for 6 months, love it in the Texas heat and or rain, it's my favorite hat ,thanks

I work at a nursery and am out side all day. It’s summer time here in Pennsylvania USA and the days get really hot with high humidity. I took the hat to work and wore it while working outside, I began sweating and remembered you can soak this hat in cold water to help cool you down. So I did that and I could feel my head cooling off. It felt refreshing. As the day went on the hat dried out and I started sweating, when I got a chance I took the hat off and I could see my sweat line, I thought oh well I ruined another hat, so I went and soaked the hat and used it the rest of the day. When the day was over I rinsed the hat off real good and let it dry. The next day I checked out the hat and there was no sweat stain and the hat was in perfect shape. I love this hat.

I have a bit of a thing for headwear, I own something in the region of 40 hats and caps. Some from very well known companies ( and are very good) This is my favourite out of the whole lot, it's so light and comfortable and yet sits firmly on the head, in this recent heatwave it's been a god send and a good soaking helps to cool me down.
I can't recommend one enough, absolutely brilliant hat. I also think it looks pretty damn good 😁

Lmao ok so this is my second review because my first I forgot to hit the stars. Absolutely 5 star. Im a hat guy, have a wall collection of fitted. This is just such a comfortable hat. Fits perfect, wear it swimming and kayaking. Hand down one of the best quality hats i own. The bushie is a great loom with any outfit! And my 2 year old LOVES hers. Ill be purchasing my son a bushie for sure. Dont miss out guys, worth every penny!

Well after a 3 week wait (understandably due to international shipping), I am happy to share that this is probably my favorite hat ever. The bushie is an amazing fit! Love wearing it in the water! I also bought one of the kids hats for my 2 year old and she loves it! Wears it swimming and everything. Already looking to order another bushie for my son. Excellent quality, keeps the head cool, and just looks good in any outfit. Whether kayaking or hiking or just chillin by the pool, this is a fantastic hat! Thanks aussie!
