Distinctly Australian! Just like the Bushie, but with a broader brim. Jump from 6.5cm/2.6" to 7.5cm/3" for that extra coverage from our suns harsh rays. The Bushie Plus is hand-crafted from our premium custom Faux Suede. That simply means it looks and feels like Suede without the use of animal products. Our intention was to create a hat that is light weight and breathable, so your head doesn't overheat and sweat like with traditional leather and felt hats.
Featuring plaited banding, ventilation eyelets, nickel rust proof hardware, and soft elastic interior banding for a secure fit. The most durable hat on the market with a 50+UPF Sun Protection rating.
Perforated options in Camel, Blonde, and Pearl. We will do a run of some other colours over the next couple months.

All our crowns are hand turned during their production. You can customize the height and depth quite easily.

Perforated vs. Solid
Perforated vs. Solid
The Solid crown is your traditional crown. The Perforated crown allows greater air flow, and allows it to be packed flat easier, with minimal creases.
You can pack either Bushie Plus flat, but please don’t fold it as you could compromise the brim. Minor creases may appear, but they can be steamed out or once submerged.
Another option is to turn it upside down and pack clothing in the crown to save space.

My Bushie plus arrived the day before we left for Costa Rica. It has been in full use for several hours each day on beach walks. I have soaked the hat in water and it has really helped with cooling. The hat survive survived being squished into a suitcase for a seven hour flight and came out just fine. This hat is going to work very well in the garden this summer as my felt hats are often very hot. My wife is extremely jealous and when we get home, we’re probably going to order one for her. Good onya for making a great hat that nobody else seems to be making.

I'm so happy that I decided to purchase this hat! I burn super easily and decided to buy it after reading reviews and looking at photos. I decided to buy the Plus model for extra coverage.
We went to Cuba and it was my first trip outside of Canada. And my neck, ears or face never burnt at all!
The cooling feature of the hat is pretty neat as well. The perforated model is the way to go also.
