Distinctly Australian! Just like the Bushie, but with a broader brim. Jump from 6.5cm/2.6" to 7.5cm/3" for that extra coverage from our suns harsh rays. The Bushie Plus is hand-crafted from our premium custom Faux Suede. That simply means it looks and feels like Suede without the use of animal products. Our intention was to create a hat that is light weight and breathable, so your head doesn't overheat and sweat like with traditional leather and felt hats. 

Featuring plaited banding, ventilation eyelets, nickel rust proof hardware, and soft elastic interior banding for a secure fit. The most durable hat on the market with a 50+UPF Sun Protection rating.

Perforated options in Camel, Blonde, and Pearl. We will do a run of some other colours over the next couple months.

Adjust Crown Depth

All our crowns are hand turned during their production. You can customize the height and depth quite easily.

Perforated vs. Solid

The Solid crown is your traditional crown. The Perforated crown allows greater air flow, and allows it to be packed flat easier, with minimal creases.

You can pack either Bushie Plus flat, but please don’t fold it as you could compromise the brim. Minor creases may appear, but they can be steamed out or once submerged.

Another option is to turn it upside down and pack clothing in the crown to save space.

Pack For Travel

You can pack Aussie Chiller Headwear flat, but please don’t fold it as you could compromise the brim.

We strongly recommend each customer measures their head before purchasing their new hat to ensure they’re selecting the correct size.

Just like shoes and clothing sizes, everyone has a unique head shape and size, which is why we offer a range of sizing options. We also urge customers to pay close attention to size and fit description on our individual product pages to assist with their purchase.

Can I wet my hat?

All Aussie Chiller products are made to be wet. Don’t fret, wetting your new hat won’t cause water marks, mold, or that dreaded sour smell.

How do I care for my hat?

When cared for correctly, our durable hats are designed to withstand the test of time.

The care guide underneath each product will provide tips on how to care for your new Aussie Chiller hat.

You can hand wash our headwear. We recommend using soap or laundry liquid and a soft damp cloth. Even stain removers.  Please let to air dry on a towel or you could peg it on a clothes line. 

We do have a custom Hat Care Kit available to purchase. This includes our natural foam cleaning formula, brush, sponge, and cleaning cloth.

I explored the Aussie Chiller site and ordered the perforated Bushie based on the reviews. I’m so happy I did. I live in the northeast US and recently traveled to Key West Florida.     I took a gamble and won BIG.

    First let me start by saying the customer service is Amazing! Lauren was so helpful. It took about 3 weeks to receive it in the U.S. it super lightweight and comfortable. I forget I have it on at times. I haven’t soaked it yet so can’t speak to that part. But the quality of the Brushie is great I have smashed it down and it pops right back into shape. I got the Brushie perforated with the personalized band and drawstrings. Can’t wait to get it out on the paddleboard this summer. I will definitely send a better pic.

    Multi purpose hat

    I had been looking for a hat that I could mow the grass in or wear to the beach. I had tried several bucket hats, but didn’t feel like I got enough sun coverage. I found this hat and it has been great! It gives great sun coverage and is very cool. I love the benefit of being able to get it wet as well.

    River hat!

    I got this hat for my river vacation home. I can’t wait to use it there. I love that I can go out and float with it on and not worry that it’s going to get wet.

    It fits perfectly, I got the chiller fillers incase it’s too big, and I’m glad that I don’t need them, I like having them for if I do. I also got the drawstring and toggle since we get strong winds there and for on the boat rides.

    I’m extremely happy with my hat and plan to get some more in different colors.
